Friday Night Hikes

Friday Night Hikes

Give a Hoot! Come explore the forest with us after dark and you may have a chance to see our own Edith "Owl" Moore!

Experience the Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary after hours and in the dark. “HOO” knows what kinds of critters will emerge when the sun goes down... Join us for a frightfully good time in the forest! For the best possible experience for all attendees, these hikes are for individual adults or families with kids aged 6 or older only. If you are a scout group or group of more than 7, please contact us for options. Email Amber Leung at aleung@houstonaudubon.org

The hikes are held 7 - 8:30 PM, October through March.

Fee: $15.00 adults; $10.00 children (age 6 and up), payable in advance.

What to Bring: Dress for walking in the woods and wear closed-toe shoes and insect repellent. Adults may bring a flashlight. Please park in the cabin parking lot and do not leave any valuables in your vehicle.

Weather: We'll call you the afternoon of the night hike if stormy weather forces us to reschedule.

Questions: If you have any questions, contact Amber Leung at aleung@houstonaudubon.org
