Bloom Period: September - November

Description: Perennial. Small white flowers grouped into larger flower heads. Leaves are 2-4" long and coarsely toothed. Prefers partial shade and moist conditions but tolerates full sun. Grows well in sandy or clay soils. Masses of late-flowering boneset are very showy in late August and September.

The Wildlife Connection: Nectar is attractive to butterflies and other insects. Seeds are an important food source for seed-eating birds.

Propagation Tips: Available commercially. Small plants may be transplanted. Self seeds.
