High Island Guided Field Trips and Group Tours

Kids on the canopy walkway

Bring your group to High Island this spring for a day of outdoor exploration to learn all about birds!

Groups with reservations receive a 1.5 hour guided tour led by Houston Audubon staff. Your group will start at the renowned Rookery at Smith Oaks Bird Sanctuary, where you’ll witness the wondrous sights and sounds of hundreds of nesting birds. We’ll then continue through the many habitats in the sanctuary, spotting and learning about birds along the way.

Supports Houston Independent School District’s 4th grade science standard 10a.
