Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary Tours
Private Guided Tours
Excited to be out in nature, but not sure where to start? Bring your organized club, homeschool group, or scouts to learn all about the history and nature of this sanctuary. These programs include a tour of the historic log cabin and walking trails. Learn about the history, fun facts, and explore the trails as we identify plants and critters in the Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary. Free trail maps, species guides, and other handouts can be provided upon request
Private tours start at $200 for a 1.5-hour program and are subject to staff availability. Group sizes are limited to a maximum of 25 for adults and school-aged children (all groups with attendees under the age of 18 need at least 2 adult chaperones accompanying them). Groups with Pre-K aged children have a maximum of 12.
Please email info@houstonaudubon.org to schedule.
Self-Guided Tours
Wanting to explore with your group on your own? Please contact us at info@houstonaudubon.org for availability on free self-guided tours! A Houston Audubon staff member will introduce your group to the Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary at our cabin. We will review the sanctuary rules to ensure all visitors and wildlife are safe and respected. Free trail maps, species guides, and other handouts can be provided upon request.
Any groups larger than 8 visiting our nature sanctuary must contact us to avoid conflict with sanctuary workdays and other private events that may reduce group tour success!
