Blue Mistflower prefers well-drained, moist conditions but is tolerant of heavy soil. Full sun to part shade. Self-seeds freely but is easily removed from unwanted locations. Can be pruned to a more compact shape. Sprawls happily in wet areas. It's a good companion for Pickerelweed.
