Birdathon 2026

Birdathon is Houston Audubon’s community fundraiser where teams of all skill levels are encouraged to get out in nature and count birds while raising funds for Houston Audubon’s mission. This event puts the FUN in fundraising! Your support will help us protect birds through habitat restoration, surveying and monitoring, nature education, supporting bird-friendly communities, and advocacy efforts.

Important Dates

• Registration/Fundraising opens Monday, March 23.
• Birding Period: April 11 - May 11
• Donations and team report must be submitted by midnight on May 14.

Oberholser Award (most species identified)

Whittington Award (most funds raised—there will be two Whittington Awards this year, one for Individual and one for Team)
