SUPER BIRD IS BACK!! This year, we are excited to partner with Feminist Bird Club Houston, and have FBC leading one of our teams. Houston Audubon's Schyler Brown will lead the other team.
The rules of the game are simple: birders will split into two teams for two hours, submitting their eBird lists in the parking lot at exactly noon! The team with the most species wins fame and glory. There is no fraternizing with the other team (but players may try to confuse players on the opposing team by sending them on “wild goose” chases for rare species in the bushes). Birders of all experience levels are welcome and it is free to participate. Spare binoculars will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. We hope to see you there!
We meet at Archbishop Fiorenza Park at 9:45 AM at the red "X" marked on the map above. The competition starts at 10 AM and lasts till noon.

North Jetty Cleanup
Join our coastal staff for a cleanup event at the North Jetty in Port Bolivar. This is adjacent to our Bolivar Flats sanctuary, and will be an excellent opportunity to see many shorebirds and likely thousands of American Avocets! We meet at the North Jetty Bait Camp, 802 17th St, Port Bolivar, TX 77650.
