Pt. Bolivar North Jetty Cleanup
The North Jetty borders Houston Audubon's Bolivar Flats Shorebird Sanctuary, a site designated as a "Globally Important Bird Area". Each year tons of trash collects along the North Jetty and we need your help to remove it!
Please meet at the North Jetty parking area at the end of 17th Street in Port Bolivar. From the ferry, take Highway 87 approximately 1.5 miles and turn right on 17th St. Please wear sturdy shoes or boots that can get muddy or wet and wear clothing that will protect you from the sun and the mosquitoes (hat, sunglasses, etc.).
This event is hosted by Houston Audubon, SPLASh Texas, and Texas Conservation Alliance.

Ferry Beach Cleanup
Houston Audubon and SPLASh are hosting a beach cleanup at Ferry Beach, next to the ferry landing on the Bolivar Peninsula. This is a brand-new beach and has never been cleaned before!
All volunteers are welcome! There will be a tent and umbrellas for shade and ice water available. We will have gloves and trash bags as well. Those coming across the ferry from Galveston can take it on foot to avoid the line. Parking is also available at the ferry bathrooms on the Bolivar Peninsula. Be sure to bring your sunscreen, hat, and reusable water bottle, and let's make a difference for the beach and birds!
