Grand Opening of the Hill at Sims
Harris County Precinct One and Houston Parks Board are officially opening Hill at Sims, a new regional park in the Sunnyside community. This magnificent 100-acre greenspace features a range of recreational amenities, including a hilltop pavilion with views of downtown Houston, Uptown, and the Texas Medical Center; trail access to the hill with three scenic overlook areas; a 1.6-mile loop and nature trails; a water access pier; a 2,000-square-foot open-air nature pavilion with restrooms and storage; an accessible picnic structure; and flexible lawn space for active programming. Additionally, Hill at Sims connects to Sims Bayou Greenway with over 20 miles of hike-and-bike trails.
