Save Bolivar Flats!

Bolivar Flats Shorebird Sanctuary has been saved!

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the many supporters who donated to Houston Audubon to help us complete the missing piece of Bolivar Flats Shorebird Sanctuary. With the contributions of over 1,000 donors, we were able to raise the $3 million needed to bring this final piece of critical habitat under our wing.

While we are no longer raising funds for this acquisition, any donations received to this campaign through the end of the year will support the protection and management of Bolivar Flats and Houston Audubon’s 17 other bird sanctuaries. Stewardship funding ensures we have the resources to effectively manage and monitor our sanctuaries to protect their conservation values in perpetuity.
