Description: Often found together with Eastern Gamagrass. Tolerant of a wide range of soil conditions. Leaves turn bright yellow in fall. Forms large clumps which persist in winter.
The Wildlife Connection: Used both for shelter and food. Leaves and seeds eaten by a number of species. Larval host for many skippers and satyrs.
