I'm so pleased to be working with Houston Audubon and assisting at Sims Bayou Urban Nature Center. I never imagined when I volunteered on a project at the center last year that I'd be working here someday.

My joy for nature goes back to my youth, and I dreamed of working in that area in some capacity. I've worked with my hands for most of my life as an auto mechanic and in the Navy. For the last 25 years I've customized vehicles for the mobility-impaired. I developed a passion for photography while in the service and since then have spent many hours in the woods with my camera. This is in part how I became involved with Houston Audubon. I look forward to getting to know you all.
