Houston Audubon will soon launch its exciting strategy to engage a new generation of young professionals -- Houston Audubon’s Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC). The YPAC concept was initiated by Sarah Flournoy and later researched and developed by our very own Zineera Seth, Development Events Manager, and Anna Vallery, Northern Sanctuaries and Nursery Manager. Because of their leadership, creativity, and hard work, we believe more young people will get involved in a meaningful way.
The YPAC will consist of 15 young professionals (ages 25-35) from various industries that have an interest in conservation. It is a one-year commitment and the main responsibilities are to serve in an advisory role and to work as a group to complete a project that supports our mission. An overview of the Council and an application form for YPAC involvement are available on request by emailing to the address below.
If you know of anyone that might be a good fit for the YPAC, please let us know. You can email ypac@houstonaudubon.org – Anna and Zineera will receive those emails.
This is an exciting and great opportunity. Help us spread the word.
