Herp Study Results

Here's the updates from the weekend of February 3, 2018.

Overall not too much found but there is a lot more activity at Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary now. The pond has both Bullfrog (L. catesbeianus or R. toro) and Leopard frogs (L. sphenocephalus) calling frequently. The racoons are also constantly doing something.

I have a picture of 1, but may have seen 2 screech owls. The barred owls were also calling fairly frequently through the night.

In terms of herps here's what I got.

2x Leopard frogs (L. sphenocephalus)
1x Little Brown Skink (Scincella lateralis)
1x Rio Grande Chirping Frog (Eleutherodactylus cystignathoides)
1x Brown anole (Anolis sagrei)

The herps should be up on iNaturalist soon. The next survey date was set for the 17th with that being the day for a presentation. I'm excited for both!
