The Wildlife Connection: Nuts are a valuable food source for many species. Larval host for the gray hairstreak butterfly. Leaves attract many insects which are in turn eaten by birds. Avoid spraying.
Propagation Tips: Pecans are difficult to transplant because of their very long taproot.
