Bloom Period: May - October
Description: Very showy, bluebells have become somewhat rare because of over-collection. If found in the wild, it should only be transplanted if its habitat is facing destruction. This plant prefers sandy soil; it does very well next to streams or other wet areas. Wild bluebells are either annual or biennial. Cultivated plants are perennial.
Propagation Tips: Plants are available commercially. Collect seed in June when seeds inside capsule are black.
