Owl Prowls in West Houston

at the Edith Moore Nature Sanctuary

Owl Prowls begin with a lively program on owls including a rare opportunity to meet live, rehabilitated owls at the Edith Moore log cabin. Then we go out on the Sanctuary's wooded trails in search of wild owls.

Dates: Owl prowls are  held December through February. The next owl prowl will be in December, 2017. The exact date will be announced in the fall.

Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Fee: $12.00 adults; $8.00 children (ages 6-17), payable in advance. Refunds are only given for adverse weather cancellations, if unable to be rescheduled. Maximum group size: 5 persons.

Minimum Age: All prowlers must be at least 6 years old. (1 adult chaperone for every 2 children)

Reservations: Pre-registration is required.

What to Bring: Dress for walking in the woods - including insect repellant. Adults may bring a flashlight. Please do not leave any valuables in your vehicle.

Weather: We'll email you the afternoon of the prowl if stormy weather forces us to reschedule.
