Houston Audubon’s photo blind was built with funds from the National Fish and Wildlife Federation, funds and labor from Southwestern Bell Telephone Volunteers, and funds and labor from photographers.
Use of the Blind
Photographers may only reserve 5 consecutive days in the photo blind and only 10 full days per season. Walk-ins that occupy reserved positions will need to relinquish the position if asked by the photographer who reserved that position.
Photographers can put the Do Not Disturb sign on the blind door when they are photographing but not if they are just leaving equipment there.
Photographers are welcome to bring whatever they need to the blind but should remember to remove all that they bring.
Photo Blind Reservations
There is a charge of $10 a day and $5 a half day to reserve a space in the blind. Reservations can be made from January 1- March 23 by emailing wburkett@houstonaudubon.org or calling Houston Audubon at 713-932-1639.
